Context and audience specific

  • To be attentive to environments, situations and locations and the people that use them.
  • Will be made to exist in a particular physical place of your choosing.
  • Will communicate to audience who you recognise to be inhabiting or using that place.
  • The subject, physical form, and format of the work will be informed by what you want to communicate.

People and places

  • How people inhabit and use places and environments.
  • What different kinds of activities and situations happen in that place?
  • Some places and environments have very particular uses at times.
  • People may use places differently depending on

who they are

why they are there

when they are there

Situated Practice

  • not a digital/ virtual environment
  • Indoors/ outdoors within the public realm
  • To reach external audiences (target audiences)
  • messages communicated by your work should be informed by your target audience and the context, placement, and location of the work.

  • To draw attention/ make ppl consider sth specific in that environment
  • How long will ppl have to understand and engage with the work
